What's the difference between Veg-Tan and Chrome-Tan leather?
Veg-Tan (Vegetable-Tanned)
Leather:
This is our signature leather,
tanned using natural plant extracts - a process that takes weeks rather than
days. Veg-tan leather arrives with a natural, slightly stiff feel and lighter
color. Over time, it develops a rich patina - darkening and softening with
exposure to sunlight, skin oils, and everyday use. Think of it as leather that
tells your story. Each scratch, mark, and color shift becomes a memory map of
your journey. If you love the idea of a journal that evolves with you, veg-tan
is your match.
Chrome-Tan Leather:
Chrome-tanned leather is
processed using mineral salts, resulting in a softer, more supple feel right
out of the box. It holds its original color over time and is more resistant to
water and staining. This leather is ideal if you prefer a low-maintenance
journal that stays consistent in appearance, or if your journal will be a daily
travel companion exposed to the elements.
Can I personalize my journal?
Yes! We offer custom embossing
and personalization on select journals. You can add initials, names, dates, or
short phrases to make your journal (or a gift) truly one-of-a-kind.

Can I replace the inserts/notebooks?
Absolutely! Our journals use a
traveler's notebook system with removable inserts held by an elastic cord. We
sell replacement inserts in lined, blank, and designer covers. You can also
use any standard traveler's notebook refills that match your journal size (A5 for Ritual Journals and A6 for Mini Ritual Journals).
How do I care for my leather journal?

on our website! In short: keep your journal away from prolonged water exposure,
store it in a cool dry place, and condition veg-tan leather occasionally with a
natural leather balm. Most importantly, embrace the natural aging process -
those marks and patina are signs of a journal well-loved.
What is the return policy?
Our journals are crafted with love and intention, and many are customized just for you. As such, we ask for your understanding with the following:
Personalized Items
All custom or personalized items are final sale.
We do not accept returns or exchanges on these unless there is a clear quality issue or error on our part.
If your journal arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with clear photos and a description so we can make it right.
Non-Custom Items
For non-personalized items, we offer returns within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original condition.
Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
When will I get my order?
Your handcrafted piece of soul is almost on its way.
Processing Time
Each journal is made with intention and care. Please allow 3–5 business days for order processing before your item ships. Custom or personalized items may take slightly longer depending on design and adornment.
Shipping Rates & Delivery
We offer both domestic and international shipping.
U.S. Orders: Ship via USPS or UPS. Estimated delivery: 3–7 business days.
International Orders: Ship via USPS International or DHL. Delivery times vary by country and customs clearance.
You’ll receive a tracking number via email once your item has shipped.
We are not responsible for delays due to customs or carrier issues, but we’ll do our best to support you if something goes awry.

Our products are manufactured both locally and globally. We carefully select our manufacturing partners to ensure our products are high quality and a fair value.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
